When Malacarian visiting Malacca - The RED BUILDING (Stadhuys)

Sabtu 28/5/2011 merupakan hari cuti bagi semua penduduk kat Malaysia ni (Hish, kenapa lak aku mulakan blog aku dengan bagi statement yang even budak darjah satu pun tau?).

Hahaha... ( walau tak berapa nak lawak).

Anyway, Sabtu so cuti. Tu la yang aku cuba nak sampaikan. So, macam biasalah - kalau hari cuti je, plan aku that day akan serta mertanya untuk melepak di sekitar area Melaka (born and breed here, baby). Asalnya, aku adalah plan dengan member aku, Wani namanya; but something came up (dia kena turun KL) so, pelan kami terpaksalah dibatalkan.

Anyway ntuk isi kekosongan hari Sabtu tu, aku pun bodek lah ayah aku untuk drivekan kita orang (lesen dah ade, cume drivenya masih tak berani lagi) ke Melaka. Teringin rasanya nak berpicnic kat Pantai Klebang tu, tapi hati aku asyik mencucuk-cucuk and keep on saying,  "Alah daripada melepak kat Klebang yang dah macam takde laut tu., baik pergi tempat lain yang tak pernah di pergi jer...".
So, discuss punya discuss, akhirnya aku pun suggest lah kitaorang pergi melawat bangunan merah yang teramatlah famousnya kat melaka ni.... Apa lagi kan, kalau bukan Bangunan Stadhuys?

Hmm,tujuan aku tulis blog ni bukanlah nak spread kat korang the details history pasal bangunan MERAH ni (nak more info macam biasa, ask Mr. Google), but more to sharing everything yang aku nampak semasa aku melawat kat sana.

In other words, my experiencelah. Hehe.

Sebaik saja kitaorang sampai kat sana, oh yeah - kereta-kereta memang dah sedia tersusun. Honestly, susah betul nak mencarik parking (kata public holiday, kan?). At last, ayah aku pun parkingla kat parking lot Bangunan Taming Sari. Free, kalau tak silap aku. But jalan kaki sikitla untuk ke bangunan Stadhuys tu. Adalah dalam 6-7 minit macam tu...

Well, bila dah masuk je dalam bangunan Stadhuys - ketahuilah korang bahawa nak masuknya bukanlah free, even though korang orang Melaka pun (macam aku). Since aku ni memanglah sentiasa mensupport ekonomi yang ada kat Melaka ni, takdelah keberatan nak membayarnya (walaupun ada jugak berharap untuk dapat separuh harga ke apa sebab duduk Melaka dari generasi ke generasi). Well, kalau korang nak tahu berapa yang kami bayar masa nak masuk tu;

ADULTS: RM5.00
CHILDREN:RM2.00.

Ayah aku tak masuklah kat dalam tu pasal masa kecik-kecik dulu dia selalu main-main kat situ. In other words, ayah aku nak cakap; buat apa nak bayar masuk kat tempat yang selalu jadi tempat permainan kau kan? Ada betulnya juga cakap ayah aku tu. Jadi, sebab tu lah dia suruh aku dengan bro aku saja yang masuk...

First time entering the building, serious memang tak nampak GUESTBOOK dekat depan pintu masuk tu. Mana taknya, dah aku sangat excited nak round-round sekeliling sampai tak perasan :) Pelik kan aku? Masuk dalam tu muzium je pun dah excited bagai. What more can I say, I'm still kid at heart. Aku round sekeliling adalah dalam 10 minit before I aware yang ada satu mat salleh sign dalam guest book tu. So, aku pun apalagi - JOIN THE CLUB la.. Alah, tak penting pun guestbook tu but I still want my 5 second fame... Haha

Anyway, lepas sign tu aku ajakla bro aku sign sekali...

My bro...
Harap korang tak terkejut beruk bila nampak pak cik ni sambut
korang nanti.
Teringin pulak aku nak gantung gambar camni kat rumah... pastu
tambah MISAI sket... Mesti tambah hensem.
Banyak jugak benda-benda yang boleh dikategorikan as ancient, dipamerkan kat sini. Barangan seperti tembikar, pasu, cawan, sudu, garfu ( aku hairan pasal aper takde kuali jer (JK, guys)) and from my point of view if jual kat auction memang nilainya akan cecah beratus-ratus juta RINNGIT (only to avid collectors la). Ini estimation aku saja. Jangan pergi redah bangunan Stadhuys minta people in-charge tu jual dekat korang pulak. I'm pretty sure that is illegal.

Actually, to be honest I'm quite impressed bile tengok benda2 yang dh berusia ratusan tahun nih masih kelihatan baik- sedangkan kat rumah aku, beli pasu Sarawak tak sampai dua tahun pun dh pecah.

Tiba-tiba terbayang nak letak ikan
siakap tiga rasa pulak dekat atas
pinggan ni...
(Haha, jahat sungguh aku....)
Jalan punya jalan, suddenly nampak la pulak kawasan laman kat luar die.. Cantik. So aku minta la tolong my bro untuk snap beberapa picture. Dah memang jenis suka pose (even though pose kadang-kadang buruk je and kurang menarik). Doesn't matter. Still on IT.

Nak buat iklan gigi ke apa ni, Mimi?
Haha, anyway - below ni adalah beberapa snap pictures yang di ambil hari itu yang aku rasakan agak menarik untuk disharekan disini. Sumpah, masa buat pose tu - rasa malu aku tu memang 100% dah hilang. Al-maklumlah, kat tempat sendiri kan? Eksyen lebih sikit lah... tunjuk orang Melaka pose camne kan? Huhu, dah macam over pulak when I put it that way. Oh, here's one picture of my brother. Akulah culpritnya yang minta dia pose macam ni.

Somehow, pose adik aku ni mengingatkan aku
 kat 'Pirates of Carribean'.
Mungkin aku teringatkan dek atas
kapal tu yang ade tangga...
Jom menampi padi (yelah, memandai je aku kan?)
Sampai tak ke negara China dengan perahu ni?
"I believe I can fly... I believe I can touch the sky...
I dream bout you every night and day... but it won't
take me far away...."
Aku rasa adik aku macam berminat je nak rembat kapal ni
untuk letak kat bilik dia.
Pemandangan yang biasa korang tengok kalau ada kat sini.
Yang ni aku tangkap sendiri ye... tak ambil from mana-mana blog
pun.
Cantik kan topi ni? Boleh sama pulak dengan
pattern dengan baju aku. Coincidence?
I think NOT!
Walaupun secantik mana pun key-chain yang dijual kat sini;
Aku rasa amatlah weird bila beli
key-chain negeri Melaka since aku orang sini.
So, none for me please...
My bro and I. Oh, and that clock behind us.
Nice~
Peace je memanjang....
Okaylah guys... Itulah sajalah coretan pengalaman aku ke Bangunan Stadhuys, one of the most popular tourist attraction you if guys come to Melaka. Hope everyone enjoyed sajalah semasa membacanya and dapatlah tahu serba-sedikit pasal negeri tercinta aku ni...

So, that's all for now, BYE BYE!!!

Mimi talks about: The Princess by Jude Deveraux

Last year had been one of the best year of my life!

ALL THANKS TO , MISS JUDE DEVERAUX...

I always been a bookworm since I was a child and seems like the habits didn't go away even after I grown up. Luckily me, I get accepted to JMC and my life started to change 4 months after that. I was introduced to book; ONCE MORE! The library had a full racks filled with paperback novels and my hands are just itching to touch and feels them; more importantly to read them. It's been a while since I read anything so I took out these opportunity to grab a book and started to read. I usually went to the synopsis first if I want to pick the right material for me to read and Jude Deveraux novels seems to fit the bills perfectly.

There is something about her novel, I realized. Not just the cover but with the contents itself. Almost every word written in the novel reflects the emotions of the character specifically and with all the conflicts going on; you can't just stop turning those pages. I used a lot of imagination; of course since novels didn't have any pic in it except for the book cover and a lot of dictionaries ( only for strange words) cause let face the truth, I don't know every and single word in English.

Now, The Princess wasn't the 1'st novel of hers that I had read( in case you're wondering why I put this book at my high list) but the 1'st novels of hers that I truly enjoyed to read. In fact; till this day it;s my fav novels ever. This novels circulate a story about a woman who appear to be a princess of some small European kingdom. I didn't recall her full name but she been call as Princess Aria for the rest of the story. The story get heaten up when she was found by Lieutenant Jarl.T Montgomery (OK you might as well know, Miss Jude love using Montgomery's as a surnames for most of her books so don't worry if you found lots and lots of this surname as it all led to the Montgomery family lines at the end of the day) washed up to the shore. Long story short, he found her, save her and protect her from any danger possible as there might be an people/insider who wants the princess dead; only at this point they didn't know whom yet.

To add more spices, P.Aria are forced to marry the handsome Lieutenant Montgomery in order to keep her save ( I mean the man is Lieutenant himself isn't he? For sure he can protect the princess) and P.Aria had to disguise herself as a typical American housewife for this purpose. Now this is where the interesting part begins. She didn't even know how to act as a normal housewives! She's a princess after all and she found that even the simplest things such as taking off the cloths, combing her own hairs and showering a pretty difficult task for her to handle.Luckily our handsome Lieutenant here is ready at her service, although they didn't get along that well at start. He helps her to deal with a lot of things and from this lot of things; it eventually led to a blossom romance between them. How romantic is that!

When it times to leave U.S and went back to her kingdom ,P.Aria is a bit reluctance to go but after her big fight with L.Montgomery she decided to leave. L.Montgomery still watches over her and her people as he think that the person who wants Aria dead earlier still haven't change their minds.

The story reached its climax when the princess is captured by the person who wants her dead; who also happen to be her close relatives. Her cousin wanted to inherited the throne for himself and since P.Aria is the sole heir for it, he had no other options besides to kill her. L.Montgomery comes just in time to save the princess and the traitor was captured. As a princess, it is impossible for P.Aria to become king and she had to have a husband to fill that requirement for her (you can't rule a kingdom without a king, right?) so she asked the husband to become the king. However, he declines.

L.Montgomery said that he didn't want to be the king picked by his wife unless the people in the kingdom itself are calling out for him. To his shock, they did. The people in the kingdom welcomed L.Montgomery as their new king as they can see that he has what it takes to become a good king. And as for P.Aria she is reunited with her husband once more and they are terribly been blessed with six children and lives happily till the rest of their life ( you can only find this ending if you been reading J.D novels and by that I mean a lot as I can't recall the name of the book that I read that told me about this ending but I knew they were there).

Till then.... Bye bye...
